It's no secret that pre-robbery Kim Kardashian used to flaunt her wealth with gaudy pics of her jewelry on Instagram. It's one of the reasons thieves went after her in the first place in October 2015 - they knew she was traveling with high-price pieces. But in the wake of her awful experience, Kim has vowed to change her lifestyle, not show off her wealth, and wear jewelry that's not quite as flashy.

From the looks of a new Snapchat post shared over the weekend, Kim seems to be keeping her word. Instead of choosing one of her diamond chokers to accessorize her outfit, she opted for a gold necklace with the name of her town, Calabasas, on it. TMZ reports that it's a custom piece from XIV Karats, which retails similar items for $500. Yes, it's still pricey, but compared to the $4 million emerald-cut ring that was stolen from her, this is incredibly inexpensive.

Another little bauble that's become a staple post-heist is Kim's gold lip ring, which she wears in the center of her bottom lip. It has made multiple appearances on Kim's Snapchat, and she wore it to her family's annual Christmas Eve bash, along with a gold maxi dress, and gothic, cross-themed choker.

Meanwhile, the culprits who bound and gagged Kim in her Paris hotel and made off with over $10 million in jewelry have finally been caught by French authorities. The New York Times reported on Monday that police have detained 17 people - based on DNA evidence collected at the scene - that they believe are responsible for robbing Kim at gunpoint.

Although none of the alleged perps have been identified, most of the suspects have "long criminal records," and they span in age from 40 to 72, according to the Daily Mail.

Arrests made this morning are believed to include criminals who resold Kim's jewels after the fact. Police reportedly think the diamonds eventually made their way to Belgium, where there's another investigation underway.
