Meet The Second Face of Kylie Jenner’s #IAmMoreThan Campaign

If anyone knows the power of social media it’s Kylie Jenner. She’s most-viewed person on Snapchat, has more Instagram followers than the population of Morocco, and ranks quite high on Twitter and Facebook as well. But instead of flashing her latest piercings (remember this nipple news?), showing off her graduation baubles or taking the tried and true selfie, Kylie’s taking a more serious approach to her social media these days — at least for the next six days, that is.
On Monday night, the youngest Jenner took to Instagram to share the launch of #IAmMoreThan, the latest campaign to end bullying.

I am so excited to launch my new @Instagram campaign #IAmMoreThan. For the next six days, I will be sharing stories of 6 incredible people who have become heroes in their own way by taking #bullying and turning it into something positive. I’ve gotten to talk and bond with all of these people whose stories you will see on my page. I think you will all fall in love with them just like I did. I want to encourage you, my fans, to share something positive about yourselves. I’ll be reading as much as I can so that some of you can be apart of this as well! Let’s do this #IAmMoreThan #StopBullying
On Tuesday, Jenner introduced her followers to the first #IAmMoreThan campaign participant — Renee DuShane, whom she introduced as a 21-year-old college student born with Pfieffer Syndrome. “Renee is so strong willed and a super intelligent girl who told me that while growing up she never had many issues with bullying,” Kylie noted in the post. Anxious about transitioning to college and then having to explain her condition, DuShane turned to Tumblr. It inspired her to share photos of herself, after seeing “lots of profiles of positive, confident people.”
The second face of the campaign is Erica Schenk, the first plus-size model to be featured on a fitness magazine. “What I love about Erica is she refused to believe the haters who told her that her weight would hold her back from achieving her dreams,” Kylie noted in the post. Even more, Schenk dished out sound advice for maintaining a positive self-image: “Learn how to be your best friend. A lot of people will come and go in your life but they can never do as much for you as you can do for yourself.”
It’s not the first time that the 18-year-old has tackled this topic. In June, she posted a late-night Snapchat story revealing that despite her popularity, even she’s been bullied. In the video snippets, she shared: “I think that I’ve been bullied since I’ve been nine, from the whole world it feels like sometimes. This isn’t a pity party, though. Don’t get it twisted. This is to let others with bullies out there to know that you’re not alone. Goodnight, spread love, love y'all.”
Other than Kylie supporting a good cause, there’s no clear reason why she’s launching #IAmMoreThan now. Is it in response to the flack she received about her lips? Cornrows? Caitlyn Jenner? Being part of the — dare we say it — Kardashian-Jenner clan? Not that it matters. If the #IAmMoreThan campaign and these six soon-to-be famous faces can reach just as many people as the #KylieJennerLipChallenge did, there’s bound to be a change on the horizon.
