#MFW: All the Most Amazing Things from Moschino's Fall 2015 Collection

Moschino is one of the most anticipated shows every season. Sure, the clothes aren’t for everyone, but thanks to creative director Jeremy Scott it is a Show (with a capital S)! And after the long hours of running from show to show and appointments, the truth is everyone just wants to have fun.
The giant boom box on the stage hinted at the late ’80s/early ’90s hip hop vibes, and as soon as the sounds of JJ Fad’s “Supersonic" rang through the venue, we knew we were in for a treat. Primary colors, gold chains, graffiti gowns, Looney Tunes characters, oh my! Here’s a look at the coolest pieces that went down the runway today.

The Left-Eye
This look with orange quilted overalls, blue knit top, and matching yellow accessories immediately brought to mind Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez, from recently-reunited supergroup TLC. It was not surprising at all when Jeremy Scott told us at his after party that his favorite song from this era is “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg,” the band’s first single. We’re surprised he didn’t go all the way and put condom eye patches on the models.

The Faux-nel Sweatsuit
Moschino has famously taken on the classic Chanel suit many times before, but this sweatsuit iteration might be the coolest version we’ve seen yet. Is there a better way to be ready for business while also keeping super casual? No, there isn’t.

The Bear Hoodie
It’s a hoodie that looks like a teddy bear, what else do we need to say about that?

Kriss Kross Style
When Kriss Kross’s classic jam “Jump" started pounding through the speakers, the model’s clothes started getting a little, well, "wiggidy-wiggidy-wack." Kriss Kross favored their clothes worn backwards, but that would’ve been too obvious, instead we got inside-out jeans, tops made out of men’s underwear, and a halter mini-dress made out of an upside-down pair of jeans.

…And Then Came the Accessories
While most people can’t (or won’t) go out in Looney Tunes attire or an item of clothing inspired by stuffed animals, accessories are where fans of Moschino can get a little crazy. Where to start? There was the little bag shaped like a spray-paint can—perfect for your black tie events!—and a suitcase that resembles a boom box. (Use that to take your computer to work!) Meanwhile, the oversized padlock handbag transported me to my high school days (I still remember my locker combination)! If you were a child of the ’90s, the Looney Tunes pieces will make you ache for the days of Space Jam. Unfortunately for me, Marvin the Martian was nowhere to be found.

The Backpack Singularity
The backpack has been making the rounds for a few seasons now, but I don’t think it can go anywhere else after these versions. We saw an oversized fluffy backpack at Philipp Plein earlier in the week, so unless next season the backpack becomes a dress that you can actually get inside of and fully wear, I’d say this is as good as it gets. Today we saw certainly the teddy bear backpack – another ’90s throwback! – that was actually wearing a tiny little backpack of its own! Can you even?
