Nipple Pasties, Balloon Baskets, Black Eyes Made of Glitter: She's Just Being Miley Y'All!

Miley Cyrus seems to have moved on to a new phase: balloon fetish.

Performing at Adult Swim’s Upfront Party, the singer wore one of her most out-there outfits to date (and that’s saying something). In sparkling silver spandex, Mardi Gras beads, long magenta gloves, and butterfly-shaped pink nipple pasties, the 22-year-old debuted a new song, “Tiger Dreams,” with The Flaming Lips (which is fronted by Wayne Coyne, a frequent guest in Cyrus’ Instagrams). She wasn’t wearing any underwear—we didn’t guess, she told the crowd at Terminal 5 in New York City, “I got no panties on!”—she did accessorize with a pair of pink, purple, and blue butterfly wings, and carried around a balloon basket.

Earlier in the day, already done-up in her stage hair and makeup (although this could just be her everyday look — who knows with her? She’s just being Miley…), Miley was spotted wearing holey fishnet stockings underneath denim cutoffs, paired with a black mesh crop top with a Keith Haring design on the chest that, well, revealed everything from certain angles. Also, she wore what looks like customized Converse creepers.

After the show, the Bangerz singer emerged in her third ensemble of the day, and the most covered-up. Toting a souvenir from her performance (Does she stay up at night making those when insomnia takes over? Are they part of her Dirty Hippy line? Will they be seen on the runway at Jeremy Scott in September at New York Fashion Week?), she wore a bunch of high-fashion bandanas. The Moschino red skirt and matching bandeau are actually pretty chic, but she made the high fashion look her own with platform white sneakers, a plastic tiara, and two black eyes made of glitter.

Cyrus then went to her mother’s 48th birthday party at 1Oak, where she threw paper money with her own face on it at paparazzi and threw her hands in the air (showing off her grown-out armpit hair) ‘cause she just didn’t care and celebrated the night away. She’s just being Miley…
