People Think This Pool Float Looks Just Like a Sanitary Pad
We live in an age in which you can buy a pool float in just about any shape. Avocado pool float? Sorted. Mini pool floats for your drinks in the shape of doughnuts? No problem.
But the latest interestingly-shaped pool float to make waves on the Internet looks like something a little less fun.
The Pasadena Pool Float recently caught Twitter user Jillian David’s eye for all the wrong reasons. Quite frankly, it looks like a massive, all-absorbing maxi pad.

It’s hard to tell how it slipped through the design and marketing process and ended up in what appears to be an outdoors store. But as David observed, we can only assume women weren’t part of bringing this pool float to the masses.
“Focus group. This could have been avoided with 1 focus group (of women),” she wrote on Monday.
Please someone buy this and take it to the pool along with a pink inflatable lounger pic.twitter.com/BgWkDLDbJU

Her tweet along with a photo of the float has gone viral with more than 30,000 retweets and 117,000 likes.
But as well as seeing the funny side, plenty of women are spotting the potential in a sanitary pad of this size:
“Probably the only product that’ll get me through one day of my period,” one user wrote.
If you don't want to lose this on the pool deck, just pull off the adhesive strip on the back and attach it to your chair!

Another said: “What’s the absorbency level on this thing?”
And perhaps the best comment of all: “Remake of The Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman was going well, but producers baulked at level of realism required by director Sophia Coppola.”
