Prince Harry's New Girlfriend Says She 'Fights' to Wear Loose Tops Onscreen

You’ve undoubtedly heard by now: Prince Harry is dating a brunette! Oh, and… she’s an American!

If the name Meghan Markle doesn’t ring a bell, don’t worry — we’re sure you’ll be learning lots about her in the days, weeks, and potentially years to come.

So here’s what we know at this point: Markle, 35 and from Los Angeles, is an actress on the legal TV drama Suits, as well as a humanitarian. Relationship-wise, she’s been divorced from her first husband for three years, and is rumored to have dumped her Canadian celeb chef boyfriend of two years this past May in order to get with Harry — whom she met at a charity event in Toronto.

But while Markle may share the same chestnut hair color as her potential future sister-in-law Kate Middleton (are we jumping the gun here?), her fashion sense is far less modest. In fact, Markle has admitted that she actually has to wrestle with the Suits wardrobe department to allow her character to wear looser-fitting clothing. As she reportedly told the Toronto Sun (via Daily Mail), “Those pencil skirts on the show are fit within an exhale, but I fight to get that paired with a men’s oversized shirt for balance.”

And staying on the topic of fashion, Markle has actually just released her first-ever design effort: A five-piece clothing collaboration with Canadian brand Reitmans, which includes a cashmere poncho, a silk top, an on-trend bodysuit, and vegan leather pants and a skirt.

“I’m deeply and passionately involved in the design process, she told the Sun. “I’m a brash American, and if my name is going to be on something, I’m going to have my say.” All of which means that, even if you aren’t lucky enough to be Prince Harry’s (rumored) girlfriend… at least you can dress like you are.
