There’s nothing bad about @BadGalRiRi. Rihanna announced her plan to perform at the first annual Diamond Ball on December 11 – a star-studded black tie affair to benefit her very own non-profit, the Clara Lionel Foundation. The 26-year-old singer founded the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012 in honor of her grandmother, and since then, has expanded her work to deliver quality treatment for cancer patients in the Barbados amongst the organization's many other humanitarian efforts.
"One of the greatest benefits of my job was being able to start the Clara Lionel Foundation in honor of my grandparents," the Grammy Award-winning singer said in a statement. "There is truly nothing I’m more proud of and we’ve just gotten started. I’m excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond Ball, a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational."
The event, which will take place in Los Angeles at a private estate, is expected to welcome 600 guests for a night of philanthropy and fun. And while Rihanna is set to take the stage for an intimate performance, other special guests will be revealed soon too. Now that Riri’s Instagram has been reactivated, we’re hoping she’ll let the world in on a sneak peak of the charitable festivities.
