See Nicky Hilton’s Stunning Valentino Wedding Dress

Nicky Hilton tied the knot at Kensington Palace on Friday, fittingly wearing a very regal wedding dress.

The hotel heiress wed James Rothschild, a European banking heir, in a couture Valentino gown. The custom-made piece by designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli was surprisingly sophisticated and featured long sleeves and a high neck, almost like a combination of the Duchess of Cambridge and Janet Leigh’s dresses. It was made of three different shades of ivory and silver guipure — a lace composed of a gimp or thicker thread — accented with crystal embellishments and the voluminous balloon skirt’s train spanned three meters. A long veil made of vintage lace trailed behind her.

Apparently, Nicky’s something blue was her sister Paris Hilton in a blue chiffon dress and her mother, Kathy Hilton, in a more structured floor-length gown of the same shade with white embellishment on the bottom of the bell skirt. “So happy that my sister found the man of her dreams. They make the perfect couple! So excited for their wedding today,” Paris wrote on Instagram. Kathy shared similar sentiments on her social media: “Can’t believe my beautiful baby girl got married today! Love you so so much @nickyhilton so happy you found your soulmate to spend the rest of your life with.”

Nicky, who was previously married to financier Todd Meister in Las Vegas (the union only lasted three months, was escorted to Orangery, a restaurant at the royal residence of the Cambridge family, in a Bentley. The native Californian and Rothschild met at Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt’s wedding in 2011 and got engaged in August 2014 when he popped the question when they were vacationing in Lake Como, Italy, together.
Guests at the wedding include Chelsea Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, who were spotted heading into the rehearsal dinner at Spencer House on Thursday night. Thomas van Straubenzee, one of Princess Charlotte’s godparents, and Naomi Campbell were in attendance as well.
