Oscar de la Renta Fall/Winter 2016 Collection, Look #42
Not everyone can say they have the privilege of having the world’s most astute and powerful fashion maven, Anna Wintour, act as your personal stylist for Hollywood’s biggest night. Sienna Miller, however, can now proudly raise her hand and say she can—again.
Miller, who you may recall was the subject of the Vogue documentary, The September Issue, (she was the cover girl documented throughout that award winning doc), and now Wintour’s lent the American Sniper star a hand with the Oscars. Miller, who plays Bradley Cooper’s wife, Taya Kyle, in the film, was seated with Conde Nast Artistic Director Wintour three days before the Oscars at the Calvin Klein show during New York Fashion Week. And Miller, who still didn’t have a confirmed Oscar dress to wear as of Thursday afternoon, told US Weekly that Wintour was indeed advising her choice.
"We’re working on it," Wintour confirmed to US Weekly from the front row.

Well, as luck would have it, Miller did not wear Calvin Klein (that honor went to Lupita Nyong’o and her pearl dress). Instead, she chose another Anna favorite: Oscar de la Renta. This season was the debut of Peter Copping at this historic design house, after Mr. de la Renta passed away last year. Wintour, who has always been a champion of the late Mr. de la Renta’s work, is firmly continuing her support of Copping and this next generation because Miller, with Wintour’s seal of approval, was the ONLY celebrity wearing something (look #42 to be exact) from the new Oscar de la Renta collection.
From the runway to a fitting to the red carpet in less than 72 hours? Totally doable—if you have Anna Wintour behind you.
