Taylor Swift’s “Style” Video Stars Another Super Sexy Dude

If 2014 was the year of Taylor Swift, 2015 has been quiet for the superstar. Sure, she took a road trip with Haim and became besties with Kanye, but its’ been a minute since she released new work of any kind. Swifties have been waiting with bated breath for the official release of “Style,” her newest music video off her 1989 album. Well, you can stop refreshing your Instagram feed for the #Feb13STYLE cuts she’s been teasing, because the full-length version has been released.

Shockingly, the song is about a mystery man, one we’re pretty sure is Harry Styles. The paper airplane necklace the two used to wear is in the video and the lyrics are pretty telling: You got that long hair / slicked back/ white t-shirt. And while the song is on par with Swift’s typical “I love him, he doesn’t love me, but we’d be a perfect couple” poetics, the video is surprisingly artsty fartsy for the 25-year-old. Under the direction of Kyle Newman (her BFF Jamie King’s husband), Swift wears a handful of white looks, not so subtly suggesting her purity and innocence. There’s earth, wind, and fire, Swift’s head becomes engulfed with smoke, backs turn into speeding roads, and—because this is a Taylor Swift video after all—there is a very pretty man.
