Alec Baldwin Will Return to ‘SNL’ as Trump
In an interview with CNN, Alec Baldwin recently confirmed that he’ll be returning to Saturday Night Live with his impression of President Trump. Baldwin was the show’s go-to Trump impersonator this past season and will continue the role into SNL‘s 43rd year.
Baldwin told CNN, “Yeah, we’re going to fit that in. I think people have enjoyed it.”
There was some question as to whether Baldwin would return. He told Mario Lopez in an interview for Extra in March: “The maliciousness of this White House has people worried. That’s why I’m not going to do it much longer, the impersonation. I don’t know how much more people can take it.”
Although he’ll be returning, Baldwin will have to scale back his appearances. He explained that his schedule will only allow some “celery sticks” as opposed to a “whole meal” of his impersonation.
