Late Night Fires Back at Trump’s Mika Brzezinski Tweets
The hosts of late-night responded to President Trump’s tweets attacking TV host Mika Brzezinski. On The Late Show, Stephen Colbert began his monologue by saying, “I’m going to say something I didn’t think was possible anymore: I’m shocked by something Donald Trump said.”
Trump attacked the host of Morning Joe, on Twitter. Here are his tweets.
I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came..

…to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!

On The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon said, “Trump accused Mika Brzezinski of getting plastic surgery. Which is odd, ’cause that’s the only thing covered by his health care plan.”
Colbert later said during his monologue, “I mean, turning them away from your hotel during the middle of winter is literally the story of Christmas”
On Late Night, Seth Meyers was so blown away by the pettiness of the tweets that he introduced a new segment named, “I Can’t.” In it, Meyers simply said, “I mean … I just can’t.”
Several politicians have admonished Trump’s tweets including Senator Lindsey Graham. Here is his tweet.
Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.
— Lindsey Graham (@LindseyGrahamSC) June 29, 2017
To that, Stephen Colbert responded, “This is not what’s wrong with American politics. You don’t see Paul Ryan throwing shade at Chuck Schumer for his eye job. This is what’s wrong with the American president.”
