CeeLo Green Accused of Tweeting: ‘People Who Have Really Been Raped REMEMBER!!!’
Two days after he pleaded no contest to a felony count of giving a woman the drug ecstasy, the former “Voice” coach allegedly opined on Twitter that “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!
No tweets involving the case appeared on his Twitter feed Tuesday, but others screengrabbed tweets they said he had sent Sunday. Green drew immediate condemnation because one of the dangers of date-rape drugs is that they can incapacitate victims and make them incapable of remembering assaults.

Green's publicist did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment Tuesday.
One of the tweets attributed to Green stated, “If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent.” Another argued that he hadn't raped the woman: “When someone brakes on [sic] a home there is broken glass where is your plausible proof anyone was raped?”

Billboard reported that Green later apologized and deleted the comments. The site said he wrote in a series of tweets:
“Let me 1st praise god for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context. … I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it… was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I'd never condone the harm of any women. Thank you.”
Green pleaded no contest Friday to a count accusing him of furnishing the drug during a 2012 dinner in Los Angeles. He also entered a special plea in which he maintained his innocence in the case and that prevents his no contest plea from being used against him in civil court, the Associated Press reported.
Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, was sentenced to three years of formal probation and 45 days of community service.
